joanne's therapeutic touch  & acudetox

Providing clients with the support they require while they walk their healing journey.
We do this by ensuring a safe, compassionate, non judgemental and culturally sensitive environment.
ACUDETOX-is used in the treatment of addictions, mental health and emotional trauma. It is a form of acupuncture that is performed by placing five thin, sterile, single-use needles in your ears (auricular acupuncture) and are left in place for about 45 minutes. The NADA protocol is used to decrease withdrawal, shorten the withdrawal process, prevent anxiety which can lead to relapse, improves the quality of sleep, stabilizes emotions, and helps to re-establish internal balance. We integrate NADA-style treatment with other Western behavioral health modalities. I am associated occupationally with a wide variety of healthcare settings. These include addiction treatment programs, mental health facilities, active-duty military and veterans healthcare programs, harm reduction, support groups, addiction recovery and similar outreach projects.  Some addictions treated are: Food, Nicotine, Alcohol, Gambling, Technology, Work, Sex, Opioids, Cocaine, Methamphetamine and other substances. Acudetox is also beneficial in the treatment of Stress and PTSD.

THERAPEUTIC TOUCH- is a modern interpretation of ancient healing practices. It is an energy field therapy in which the practitioner uses her hands to facilitate a healing process. We believe that in a state of health, the energy is flowing freely
through us in an orderly and balanced way. With illness or injury, the flow of energy is disturbed, it may be described as obstructed, disordered, or depleted. The intent is to restore the integrity of the field and move it toward healing and wholeness. Therapeutic Touch is used in private practice, hospitals, cancer clinics, hospices, palliative care units, pain clinics, long term care facilities, rehab facilities, and surgical wards. Research and clinical experience have shown effectiveness in promoting relaxation, reducing anxiety & stress, managing pain, improving sleep, and facilitating the body's natural healing process. It is effective in the fields of labour and delivery, neonatal care, addictions, mental health, PTSD, palliative care, MS, strokes, shingles, trauma, cancer care and dementia.
